Thursday Thoughts, Aware of our Influences

God’s Truth has be the standard for who we connect with and believe when it comes to female influences surrounding the body of Christ.

Recently I’ve thought a lot about women on so I’ll media platforms that profess a great amount of godliness in their home, but yet there are evident key aspects of God’s Word that they do not adhere to.

As women it can be very easy to find similar minded personalities on social media that share many of the same beliefs and values BUT at the same time also don’t.

We have to be very careful to take everything said, with the measurement of God’s truth as standard.

They may have much good to say about God, but their fruit bearing doesn’t align with scripture and its commands.

In holding fast to Gods word as truth, sometimes that means examining whether this influence has changed my mind on anything that Gods Word is clear on.

I’ve unfollowed accounts due to this very reason. I see the good and forget to check the truth. This is why, with my role as a wife, mom, and ultimately a part of the body of Christ, I need to be constantly in God’s Word, abiding in His truth, and self examining whether my fruit is good too.

“For I rejoiced greatly when the brothers came and testified to your truth, as indeed you are walking in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth.”
