Hello Spring🌷

Spring!🌺
I love spring, it’s like opening a new open door to a new house every time the birds start chirping and the sun starts shining. It’s often the time of year that many of us do what we ladies call “spring cleaning”. It’s been going on for decades! As a little girl, it meant a lot of time spent doing what I didn’t love that much. But now as a young lady that has a home of her own, it always feels rejuvenating to do a deep clean and feel the satisfaction of your scrubbing and a lil’ sweat. I love a fresh lemon scent or floral scent that takes over the house and sunshine streaming through the window; it just makes me feel all warm inside.

The other side of this is that spring to me is also a time of year that makes me want to start new things. Whether it’s a new project, new goal, or new motivation, I always get that bug to do something different. It’s also a time that I find myself reflecting on what God has done in the past year and how far I’ve come. In this last year, a lot has happened in my life and a lot of spiritual growth. And in reflecting, it’s an encouragement that God works on us continually even if we don’t see immediate results but rather small steps in the right direction. Its also convicting to look back at what areas have become weaknesses and need God’s help. Even more evident is seeing where God has planted me and grown roots. A year ago I didn’t think a lot that has happened in my life would, but God has a way of giving us the strength, tools, and abilities to do things beyond our small minds. That being said I can’t wait to see what God will start new in my life this year and where he will lead.

So in the spirit and season of spring, I hope this inspires you to start something new and reflect on how God has worked in your life. And in the spirit of spring, I encourage you to go buy or pick yourselves some spring flowers to put on your table as a simple reminder you that God has a beautiful process, helping us bloom where he plants us. 🌸

Philippians 1:6(CEV)6 God is the one who began this good work in you, and I am certain that he won’t stop before it is complete on the day that Christ Jesus returns.
