When Motherhood is the Hardest, Here’s What Our Children Will Remember.

Laying in bed cuddled up with a sick little boy. It’s in these moments that being a mom is hard. I can choose to be caring, nurturing, patient. Or I can lash out, feel angry that he’s my responsibility, and go drown my sorrows out in junk food.
But at the end of the day, my child will remember 2 things.
✨ If I gave them my all
✨ And that I did it in love
It irks me anytime I see a mom post things about their children as if their an item. One that can’t be returned with a receipt, because of the inconvenience. The true meaning and heart of motherhood is that God chose you amongst all others to care for your child. With any mom there’s moments of frustration and regret🙋🏼‍♀️, but if in that I’m able to see it and the need to change it. Then, a whole new positive thought pattern of how I can help my child, occurs.
Becoming a mother is a gift, an honor, and really, an opportunity. We have to remember, that In our hands, we have the ability to raise up wisdom, hope, and perseverance in the next generation. And I don’t know about you, but that’s enough motivation for me.🙌

Xoxo, Shantel
