Summer is in the air! This time of year always means outdoor fun and especially with family. So, I decided to put together a fun list of our family favorites this summer! Everything from lemonade to “Gotta Go Buffalo”!
My Favorites
- Gold hoops. These are becoming a huge favorite of mine. I love how simplistic they are, yet so classy!
- This wide-brimmed straw hat is something I’ve wanted to wear but was unsure if I could pull it off. But I love it for the summer!
- Roasted kale – I dont mind eating kale raw and in smoothies, but kick it up a notch with this super-easy way to roast it that is delicious too. Even my 19 months old loves it!
- Mom enough, a great summer read. I love a good mom read, and this one is definitely in the highest running. It’s been a great encouragement. The other part I love, is that the chapters are shorter, but packed with so much good content.
- Bodysuits are so the bomb. I never realized how great these are for layering as well as a slim outfit and a good tucked in look!
Hudson’s Favorites
- Dot markers. They are a great mess free way for them to feel like their painting. Not only are they washable but also toxic-free!
- Color sticker books. These are such a fun quiet activity. We use them at church, restaurants, and anywhere we need a mess free fun.
- Pouring liquids over and over. This is just a fun one I had to add. Hudson has been obsessed with pouring liquids from one cup to another and with different cup and bowls. Its such a fun thing to watch and helps them learn hand to eye coordination!
- Gotta Go Buffalo. Hudson loves this book for naptime, or really, anytime! It’s a fun book with many way to say goodbye that involve all different animals.
- Bubbles! I mean what could a toddler love more than bubbles? Their a fun favorite even as a family.
Nathan’s Favorites
- His Bridgestone hat. My husband loves golf. My husband loves hats. And my husband really loves bright colors. I bought him this hat for his birthday and he loves it. Its such a great golf hat because it can be thrown into a bag and not lose its shape because of its easy flexibility. We’ve had fun going golfing together as a family!
- Homemade lemonade. Lemonade is a favorite of my husbands, especially during the summer. And hes found the best way to make it, at home and inexpensive. This lemon juice brand is he best. Mix with sugar and water to make the best at home lemonade!
- “Best Seat In The House.” My husband has been enthralled in this book. Not just because its golf, haha, but also because its a great life book for dads.
I hope these were fun to look over. I’ve always loved summer and all the fun things to do and just the little things that make it fun and different then the rest of the year.
