October Prayer, A New Season.

Happy October, I wanted to start sharing my prayer each month. Prayer is powerful and a prominent part of my life. I hope this is an encouragement to you! If there is anything I can add to my prayers for you this month, please don’t hesitate to comment below.

Firstly Lord, thank you for the beautiful hints of fall that are popping up everywhere. The turning trees, the crisp air, the birds flying south, and all the other little things in between. These are an amazing show of your power and wisdom.

God, I pray that this month might be a turning leaf for those who are struggling in a certain area and want to start fresh.

I pray that as we come close to an election that first and foremost you would be the forefront of our decision. Help us to see the burden to do our part in deciding which direction our nation goes. Allow truth to be bold and clear to us.

Lord, I ask that you would please be with our nation as it’s still being affected by COVID-19. Please give us wisdom and the countless medical staff and labs hope and clear minds as they use all their knowledge to fight this virus. Continue to be with the patients fighting for their lives and their families. Please give them hope and strength and provide a healing hand if it is your will, Lord.

God, I pray that in each of our lives this month that we would strive to allow the Holy Spirit to work in our hearts and dismantle the flesh to reign in our thoughts, words, and actions. Help us to see the end results of our deeds and make the right choice in whatever circumstances.

Lord, I thank you for your church that we have fellowship, joy, and love, which gives us strength during rough times. I thank you for the way you work in each of our lives. Thank you that you’re an all-knowing God and that you hear our prayers night and day. Help us to take every opportunity to be a servant and a light for you. Thank you for this new season, and the new hope it brings.

In Jesus’ powerful name, Amen.
