4ish weeks ago now we started our kitchen remodel. 👷♀️🏡
We have wanted to do this since we bought the house. But because of having kids etc. it just wasn’t in the budget yet. So we waited and finally are getting to it!
I love a more mid century modern style for a kitchen. Our color scheme is quartz, dark blue, and brushed gold.
The main thing we wanted was to fix the sink so that it was under the window. And that way we would have a larger dining area. Also, change the countertops as they were the small square tiles. Trying to keep them clean these last 4-1/2 years has been impossible.
Here’s a few pictures of our progress. We are excited about this!!
The next part is picking paint colors and countertops! This is a slow process but it truly is fun and rewarding to see how it’s changing how we want it to.

How is the remodel going with the 2 littles? We’re wanting to do this, but are worried it might be too difficult with the kiddos.
Actually not too bad! While my hubby works on the kitchen I just keep the kids preoccupied in a different part of the house. Hudson, because he’s almost 4 is able to do little things with daddy, which he loves. But otherwise if there’s something that’s not safe we explain it to the kids to stay away and I just watch it.
It’s been fun, Hudson especially loves watching it happen. 😊
