Father, as we approach May, honoring mothers, I want to thank you for all they mean to us. The love they show so willingly, the ways they comfort, calm, and give grace to our failings. Thank you for the examples in scripture like Mary, Elizabeth, Hannah, Sarah, Rebekah, Leah, Ruth, and Rachel. For the different counts, you tell of the fondness they had for their children and the yearning for God’s blessing of a child to their wombs.
Lord, I want to pray especially for those who can’t carry children in their womb. They have put so much time, effort, prayers, money into having a child. God, please bless them with an extra amount of comfort and peace. Work on their behalf Lord, please. And bless their yearning for a sweet child that comes from only the allowance of you.
Lord, as a mom I pray for patience and continual wisdom. You bestowed the greatest job to mothers to raise children that love and want to serve you, but also as good citizens of our nation. Rising children right now may seem scary and underrated. But I really believe home life is where we begin a life of gratitude. I pray God, that you would help us as moms to raise children that are noble, that won’t blur the lines between what’s righteous and what sinful. Help us as moms to see it clearly as we teach them these principles. Help our children to see you in all that we do. As we serve our family, the church, and community.
Thank you for the love of the mothers that helped raise us. Whether bloodline or not, thank you for the mentoring, the discipline, and the compassion that each of them poured into our lives. Thank you God for these precious lives, may we continually learn from them and become little like them with the help of you.
In your name, Amen
