The Basic Pant Leg Rules!

Pant Leg Rolled Up
“THE PANT LEG RULES”🍂
Crew Knit Sock

Okay so with the fall boots coming out and the extra cute jeans too, I wanted to do a fun little post about how to wear these 2 great pieces together this season.

There’s ALWAYS this debate about whether to roll the pant leg up, tuck it in or what jeans go with short boots and tall boots. So, ladies, I’ve put together my “pant leg rules” here that I go by to help you when it comes to wearing boots!

Short Boots:
Open Toe Boots

Skinny leg pants: So for these, you can always roll the pant leg up with short boots. Never tuck them inside the boot UNLESS they are leggings. The other thing I like to do is wear a pair of crew knit above the ankle socks and either roll up my pant leg and scrunch my sock, or tuck in my pant leg barely into the sock and scrunch it up a little. It’s a fun way to add a little something to make your boots stand out.

↠Wide-leg pants: With wide-leg pants never roll the pant leg up, and always leave them untucked. Just as a rule of thumb, try not to wear flat heel short boots but only ones with a heel, it helps the pant leg not hide your full shoe.

Tall Boots:

Skinny Jean

Skinny leg pants: Always tuck these into the boot. Period.
Tip: roll the pant leg up once before you put the boot on so that your hem doesn’t rub against your ankle and doesn’t push your sock down.

↠Wide Leg pants. These are a little more lenient and dependent on what style you’re going for with your outfit. You can often wear the pant leg tucked in and it looks great, but you can also wear them with the pant leg out, especially if they have a heel. Its a cute statement especially with a flared hem jean.

↬I hope this is a help to those of you that often wonder about this part of creating an outfit. It’s always been an important little piece to me, that makes my attire that much more stylish, and fun!
