I’m pumped to be starting this new series called “How, Wear, What”. The point of this series is to help you wear trends, items in your closet that you bought but don’t know how to wear, or just older classic pieces that you want help with. First up is bulky blazers and coats. I love blazers. They’re a great way to add class to an outfit, and a little extra step up. If you keep up with trends you’ll notice one that’s hitting the streets like crazy. The oversized blazer/coat/shacket look. While it can look somewhat frumpy and rather lazy looking, you can also wear it a way that doesn’t.
So in the following slides, I am here to show you how to pull off this trend and look like you rule the runway.
The biggest aspect to wearing a bulkier overcoat is keeping shape. When you have shape whether it being your clothes you wear under the coat or adding a belt, it will then flow.
