Here’s What I’m Packing in my Labor & Delivery Bag This Time

I am 35 weeks now and the impending time is starting to really drive my crazy! 😅

I’m so excited, but also a little nervous about how labor & delivery will go this time around as a high risk pregnancy.

One thing I do know, is that having a hospital bag packed is a must, and at this point in time I wanted to have mine ready for whenever little miss decides to come.

So here’s a complete list of what I decided to bring this time around. All of these I either used last time or plan to use this time.

Unless anything changes, I do plan to have a natural birth this go around so some of these are items I’ve packed to help with pain management and techniques.

Labor bag checklist:

✓ Combs – pain management

✓ Coconut water – vita coco- for hydration

✓ Sage clary oil- for contractions. I used it with Hudson too!

✓ Water bottle

✓ Phone Charger

✓ Syringes for colostrum- especially great for newborns.

✓ Shower shoes

✓ Lavender oil

✓ Diffuser

✓ Newborn outfit

✓ Postpartum underwear

✓ Nursing bra

✓ Robe

✓ Dry shampoo – Incase a shower doesn’t happen soon after. Haha!

✓ Postpartum girdle – I used this with Hudson and it helped a lot with helping my uterus and pelvis recovery.

✓ Nipple cream

✓ Chapstick

✓ Playlist for labor – I did with Hudson and loved it!

✓ Makeup bag

✓ Heating pad – for back labor pain management!

✓ Sound machine

✓ Comfy socks – Bringing my same ones I wore when I had Hudson. It’s a tradition now!🥰

✓ Toiletries

✓ Comfy clothes – I found a perfect flowy nursing tank top for heading home after, in this heat!

✓ Tuck pads

✓ Dermaplast

✓ L&D plan – A must if you have certain details you wanted followed! I will also be delivering at a new hospital so this one’s important to me!

I’d love to know if you have any hospital bag essentials I might have missed that you loved. Let me know below in the comments!

Xoxo, Shantel
