The accessory scarf is one of the most interesting trends going on right now. I am seeing more and more of this fun and edgy flashback of the ’40s and ’50s, wearing them as either neck scarves or hair scarves. So, I decided to try this out for myself and it turns out I love them! They’re the perfect little add-on to an outfit and they look professional, casual, and even chill for comfy styles. The stellar patterns that cover these beautiful scarves and the textures make them perfect for spring and summer; light, airy, and cheerful. They look especially good with solid color t-shirts and button-downs.
This little scarf is also great for hair! From half-up do’s, to messy buns, to braids the ways to style it are endless but can be so easy, and just give a little chic to your look. So if you haven’t tried this flashback trend, I hope this makes you at least a little bit curious enough too. You won’t regret it!
So for my examples, I’ve styled 2 different scarves.
The first one is a longer style floral pattern with black trim. I paired it with a short sleeve denim button down and just tucked it under the collar and tied it to the side. This one is more professional and dressier.
The second one is a shorter striped red, white, and blue pattern. I also paired it with a short sleeve denim button down and tucked it under the collar and to the side. But this one is more casual or for an everyday easy look.
For a hairstyle, I am using the red, white, and blue one, and I chose to do a half-up look that is transitional for any length or style.
Began by sectioning hair up from your eye level and securing with an elastic, then take the scarf and tie a tight single knot around the elastic and that’s it!
