Basic Fall Maternity Layering Pieces

↣I love a good cardigan over a cute blouse/tank or a plaid button-down over a solid color tank top. Especially in the fall, layers are super fun to play around with and can be pretty versatile.

So as requested, I’m sharing my favorite maternity layering pieces and ideas to wear this fall season.🍂

First off, a white tank top. This simple yet strategic piece can get layered in so many ways. My favorite is with a dark color or pattern cardigan. Because white is a bold crisp color it looks fabulous with a dark fall color. The other way it looks great, is layered with a plaid button-down. And even better, worn under overalls. I paired mine with a brown cardigan and it has become one of my favorites now!

Jersey knit mock neck/turtlenecks. Whether a print or solid, they have quickly become one of my go-to layers. They make your neck look skinnier but also add a fashion flair to any outfit. Another great option is layered with either a blazer, overalls, or a scarf, and cardigan.

I know this is a given for most, but one of the best pieces, as I’ve already mentioned layering with, is a plaid button-down. They look amazing worn many different ways. Standard length ones look great whether around the waist with a solid color blouse, with overalls, or again over a white tank top. But also tunic length plaid button-downs look great layered with leggings and a solid color long sleeve. An edgy way to pull one off is to wear them is also with a long cardigan and a cute waist belt.

Last but not least; scarves. I love a cute designed scarf or a chunky knit scarf, and they go so well with solids and patterns. Whether its a warmer or cooler day, because they are in many sizes and textures, you’ll always be able to find one that best fits your style.

What are your favorite bump friendly layering pieces? I’d love to know!
xoxo, Shantel
