As many of you know due to knowing me in person, and if you read my blog you would know that my husband and I have been searching for a house for a while now. Well, I have exciting- no BEYOND exciting news, that God granted our petition and we have bought a house!!! I myself am still in a little bit of shock due to the fact that we’ve been rejected many times. So to hear a “YES” rather than “try again” is something that is starting to resonate with me. While I am overjoyed about this I wanted to share this post mainly for encouragement to YOU, as God has been to me.
Many of us wait and wait and are even patient in our waiting. Whether it’s for a house, a job, a car, a spouse, and even little things that we need in daily life,- I know I can found myself just wanting to COMPROMISE or GIVE UP. For my husband and I If we kept getting “no” as our answer on a house then what was the point of trying just to fail in our efforts? Or maybe we needed to just buy anything and spend years and even more money fixing it.
Well as I’ve come to see it on the other side now, it’s occurred to me that the reason God said no and worked on our behalf even if we didn’t understand then, was because he had the right house picked out for us all along. And it was one that we never imagined would be ours. I remember walking into this house when it was shown to us and breaking down in tears because I thought there was no way we could ever get this, so why even try again just to know we wouldn’t? But I was right, WE couldn’t get it on our own but GOD could …
The thing is, we didn’t end up having to compromise on the IMPORTANT things to us, we didn’t decide to give up, and in God’s goodness he allowed us to have so many things in this house that we never thought possible in our house search.
So I encourage you, whatever you’re waiting for, don’t compromise what’s really important to you spiritually and physically, and definitely don’t give up. I had to continually remind myself of this over, and over, and over again. But I soon learned that God gives us what we need in his timing if we ask. His will, not ours…✝️
