One thing that I KNOW we all have in our closets is a t-shirt. Whether it’s pink, or white, or blue, etc. we all got one.
Now, if you’re like me I love the feel of a t-shirt but don’t like the plainness of one. I’m not so much just a t-shirt and jeans kinda girl. BUT, I am a dressed up t-shirt and jeans kinda girl. So if you fall in either of those categories this posts for you! I’ve put together 8 ways to pep up your plain t-shirt for the summer! I love all of them so I hope you find some inspiration for those plain tees in your closet!
A Belt:
Belts are so easy. This ring belt is my absolute favorite, it’s so versatile and goes with practically every color. But the fun aspect about this is that you can customize whatever tee with whatever belt you like. It can be thick, thin, colored, patterned you name it!
I know, I know, it’s another neck scarf, but girl here me out. A neck scarf is so perfect with a tee for the summer. It’s lightweight, adds so much and is so unique and fun!
I love a cute button up tied around my waist and depending on your style, you can wear some cute Bermuda’s or even a cute denim skirt and this looks gold!
A great statement necklace in your closet is almost essential! It’s a piece that complements and creates a more dressed up feeling, and that’s what I love about them.
A Halftee:
SHOP HALFTEE! |
Have I told you about a Halftee yet?! Well, just in case I haven’t there pretty much the best invention ever! I love the criss-cross and the dimension it adds to any t-shirt, and the best part? No bulky fabric to make you sweat in the heat. So worth it sista!
A denim vest has been in my closet since I was 10 years old. It’s seriously such a great complimenting piece to a t-shirt and really any color at that, so it’s multitalented.
A Knot:
TWIST-TEE-KNOT |
A knot is the perfect little easy no-accessory needed way to pep up your tee, it’s so cute and helps with those baggier shirts. I have to tell you about my little nifty Twist-Tee-Knot though. This little invention makes it so so easy to put a cute knot in your shirt but not have the permanent stretch in your shirt and looks a bit more polished.
Kimono’s and lightweight cardigan’s are a given for the beach and swimsuits, but they also look amazing with t-shirts. Whether its a pattern or solid color it adds just a light element.
I hope this gives you some fun ideas in your closet to work with! If you try any of these I’d love to see. Post them on either Facebook or Instagram and tag me!
Xoxo, Shantel
